Year 5 Beat the Flood Challenge

5th June 2015

Year 5 children took part in a Beat the Flood Challenge. Children were able to work with Viv Rolph and Terry Shackle from BT to discuss the skills children needed to develop and use in employment.

The children were challenged to work together to use their Science skills to plan investigations in teams to find the most suitable materials to build a flood proof house and then tested their designs.

The day focused on the children developing their ability to work within a team, collaborating, compromising, leading, managing time and resources.
