Tree planting

17th November 2016

Miss Yaroslaw was extremely delighted when Chilton Primary School were given 30 saplings from the Woodland Trust to plant in the school grounds.

On a crisp Thursday lunchtime, Mr Hemmings, Mr Nunn, Miss Yaroslaw and some parent volunteers put on their wellies and grabbed a spade to help several of our children to plant the trees along the front of the school grounds by the existing hedges. We will leave them to adjust over winter and get used to the weather, then we are hoping to see a growth spurt in Spring!

Make sure you look out for them when you’re on the school field. We wonder how fast they will grow.....
