European Languages Week
12th February 2016
Chilton celebrated European Languages during a week of activities in February,
Each class chose their own country to explore finding out about traditions, languages, what they might wear. Panther class, Year 6 chose to look at Mali as although not in Europe they do speak French.
On Friday children came dressed in the colours of their countries flag and in the afternoon the school worked with their family groups, enjoying tasting different foods from the countries that they had studied.
Pizza from Italy was a firm favourite and pupils enjoyed sampling new foods from across Europe. They even included ricecakes from Mali.
